In January 2023, a group of three families began meeting for prayer and planning in Columbus Grove, Ohio, with a desire to start a new church in Putnam County. Under the leadership of King’s Cross Church of Defiance, Ohio, and in partnership with other local churches in the area, that core group established Emmanuel Church. 

By God’s grace, in August of that year, we were able to acquire the former Presbyterian church building in Grove. Since then, other individuals and families from the community have joined the launch team. Together, our desire is to see that historic building restored to a place where God is praised and lives are transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
